Dream from Dopfer with back sitting area and generous bed.
Dopfer - we need the space if we sell our apartment and move "mobile" permanently....
If already big, why not fully big, since we would have to fit all our belongings...
Then....investigate the pricelists, and suddenly, we think we need to deflate our expectations to a little camping van....
Finally, we are coming across the "Woelke Auark Runner" and are blown away - it meets our requirements, is a great compromise ...and it seems to work with the budget we had in mind.
Woelke had told us that the backlog for delivery would be around 18 months. So during Corona when toilet paper was running low and life coming to a stop, we approached Woelke again wanting to start the ordering process.....and Woelke told us - our order book is closed! We were starting to panic ... would we have to change our retirement plans?
We were looking for a vehicle similar to the Woelke Autark Runner - and found it with the Bimobil EX366. The only real downside compared to the Autark Runner is the small bathroom - rather than using the corridor to the driving compartment it is a very small room only the left side. Bimobil has a model EX 412 with a similar layout to the Autark Runner, but given that that this model is Iveco based, the total price would have gone beyond what we were prepared to invest. Also, at this point we still have some (small) hopes that we can registered the vehicle as 3.5t.
